Looking for Stefanescu Aitici & Rodis families from Braila
My great grandfather Anton Stefanescu was born in Bucharest in 1864. In 1893 he went to the railway school and he was transferred to Braila, port on Danube. Her father was George Rodis (Ρόδης), son of Anton Rodis. In the 19th century in Romania the family name of the child was the given name of the father. For this reason George Rodis was named George Antoniu because his father given name was Anton. George was born in 1840 in Aegina and he died in 1926 in Braila. After year 1900 the family name of the child was the same as his father's family name. I asked for the death certificate of George Antoniu and I got no document.
