ANTONIS CHALDEOS researcher of Ρόδης (RODIS) family
Mr. Antonis CHALDEOS, young researcher, did a great research about my family living in AIGINA island. My ancestor Antonis RODIS was sailor and ship owner. His son Georgios, born 1842, married in 1868 in Braila, port on Danube, at that moment still under Ottoman rule. Georgios' wife, Theodora, was also Greek, born in Braila. According to their daughter's Varvara birth certificate, born 1872, mother of my mother's father, Georgios and Theodora were under Hellenic protection !
A great document for the researcher, Mr. Antonis CHALDEOS, was the electoral list from 1867, exactly 100 years before my birth year !

In Aigina city and port the brothers of Antonis had descendants.
Very interesting is the brother Spyros whose nephew Spyros became the mayor of Aigina town and port.
I noticed there is a street in Aigina town bearing his name.
Mayor's Spyros daughter, Chrysa, was Miss Greece 1931

In July 2018 I visited Agia Marina from Aigina and I was there exactly when it was the Saint Marina feast ! I met at O'Kostas tavern Mr. Teo RODIS from Alones. I think he is a descendant of this other RODIS family, probably historically connected with the first. Teo was very surprised and after he asked his father about Antonis and Georgios and the old man didn't know Teo became suspicious...
I am very satisfied about the research done by Mr. Antonios CHALDEOS and I strongly recommend him for all people with Greek roots as a great researcher.
Even he can't put me in contact with other descendants, maybe sometimes they will contact me. This depends to the people, some interested, some not...
Mr. Antonis CHALDEOS officially put the Hellenic flag on my family tree and finishes my research started with legends from the family, my brother's and my uncle's visit at the National archives from Braila and my research in the same archives and at the town hall department for evidence of the persons.
